CONTINUITY CHECKING FOR FICTION WRITERS

Your story’s
second memory.

You remember the story. PlotGlide helps you keep track of the details.

Find continuity problems in your manuscript, with evidence from the text. Review possible inconsistencies in characters, timelines, and story details.

Your words. Your judgment. A clearer view of your story.

FOLLOW THE EVIDENCE

A useful flag.
A place to start.

Every finding pairs a possible problem with the passages that raised it. Review the evidence, consider the context, and decide what needs attention.

Illustrative example · Fictional passages

CHARACTER CONTINUITYHigh confidence

Did Daniel’s eye colour change?

CHAPTER 04
“Daniel’s blue eyes caught the light from the window.”
CHAPTER 19
“She recognised those familiar brown eyes.”

If both passages describe Daniel’s natural eye colour, they may conflict. Check whether the change has an explanation in the story.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you begin.

Will PlotGlide rewrite my story?

The audit focuses on continuity and story facts. You review the findings and make any changes in your own writing tools.

Will every flag be a real mistake?

No. Context, unreliable narrators, and intentional choices can explain apparent contradictions. Confidence levels and supporting passages help you decide; an audit cannot guarantee that every issue is found.

When can I use PlotGlide?

PlotGlide is being tested with fiction manuscripts. Early tests have checked planted contradictions, corrected stories, and a complete novel. We are improving coverage before opening access to writers. Audits and payments are not available on this website yet.

Will my manuscript be shared publicly?

This website does not accept manuscript uploads. The sample passages are fictional. Before public audits launch, we will explain how manuscripts are processed, stored and deleted. Planned AI audits use OpenAI to analyse the text.
